In Escentric 04, Javanol is surrounded by other notes; Geza Schön was inspired by the grapefruit note. “In other Escentric fragrances, I’ve used large amounts of the main molecule. Javanol, however, is like truffles – small amounts are enough to take you to seventh heaven.”
Escentric 04 is thus a unique interpretation of sandalwood – not woody heavy, but in the top note complemented by fresh, bitter notes of pink grapefruit peel, of juniper and pink pepper. A touch of marijuana brings out the soft notes of grapefruit in the process. At the heart, iris (orris) blossoms with a rose chord newly composed by Schön. The fragrance finishes with a balsamic woody note from Javanol and the more lovely sandalwood molecule Polysantol.
“What I love about this fragrance is its almost psychedelic freshness,” says perfumer Geza Schön, explaining his olfactory coup. Molecule 04 beschreibt er als „flüssige, metallische Schale von Grapefruit, die sich über ein Bett samtiger, cremefarbiger Rosen ergießt.“
