Ulrich Lang
Ulrich Lang worked in the marketing department of L’Oreal and in the field of New York art journalism before founding his eponymous perfume company in New York’s Greenwich Village in 2003 with his longtime girlfriend and business partner Britt Biegelsen. Lang’s perfume line combines his passions for fragrances and for modern photography, which he uses as inspiration and incorporates into his brand’s packaging design.
Lang developed the right nose early on – in his grandmother’s small perfumery in southern Germany. He began training his critical eye between 1998 and 2000, when Lang launched the online art portal, artnet.com. During this time, Lang began collecting contemporary photography – a passion he still burns for today.
