Description
A light body full of energy, auspicious and luminous, wraps everything in colorful light with its rays. It is power and inspiration at the same time, like the sun itself. Eau de Parfum Lightfalls is dedicated to light and all its facets, which pours over us like a luminous waterfall drenched in color.
The fragrance composition of Lightfalls is like a bursting color palette, with tones ranging from woody warm to fruity fresh. Top notes are dominated by peppery tangy chords of various peppers and grapefruit. Tingling like the feeling of shimmering sunlight on the skin. Saffron and vetiver in the heart of the fragrance, spicy and aromatic, evoke a ray of light pushing through the cloud cover. Where it falls to the earth, it is safe and warming. Base notes of sandalwood, the resinous oil of cistus and an amber accord arrange themselves in a woody and dry, sweet-balsamic scent. A source of light breaking through the dense foliage of a forest. Light and fragrance merge in this eau de parfum to create a fragrant color shape. A light waterfall that combines dancing peppery-fresh as well as warm-woody notes.
Origin story
Inspiration from Mario Lombardo
The fragrance composition of Lightfalls is colorful, warm and tinglingly peppery. A tribute to my No. 1 energy source, light. With each start of the day, I look for the light. For me, there is nothing better than waking up slowly with the sunlight early in the morning, being tickled by a ray and starting the day, even if it is sometimes early.
I look for the sunlight everywhere. In the distance, when it breaks through the clouds and makes something shine somewhere. In church windows when I escape from the heat. Even in people I look for the inner light, the glow in the eyes and sometimes of course the blaze in the bodies and voices. Sunlight is magical and it can be so different. Warm, cold, blue, pink. Sometimes it’s even multicolored and when it’s scented – wow! Even all the Atelier Oblique campaigns don’t use artificial light, they all have this warm strong sunlight that makes the images come alive. Light is simply wonderful – a promise and source of inspiration in equal measure.
When I moved into a new work space in Berlin in 2014, I gave myself a gift by designing the skylights with colored glass. My 300-square-meter studio was lit up from that moment on, making it simply beautiful to linger. Eine glühende Farbgestalt wanderte jeden Tag mit der Sonne durch das Büro und erhellte alle Ecken, meine Mitarbeiter, alle Besucher und auch die Gedanken. Some time later, I even covered part of the floor with an iridescent surface that shone the light back onto the white ceiling, turning the room into my own personal rainbow in a strange way. My own little piece of the “end of the rainbow”.
This was also where I created Atelier Oblique in 2015 to make rooms sing, dance, glow or flicker through my first collection of scented candles. I wanted to create happy places with it. Today I dedicate myself to the light in this very special way. With the creation of this eau de parfum I created a waterfall of light. Sparkling, deep, fresh and enlightening at the same time. This fragrance invites you to dive in and take a bath in the ray of light.
