Perfumer Mark Buxton: several factors come together as inspiration: my fondness for olibanum, an elemental component of incense. My habit wherever I am is to look at churches and smell their very individual scent. And a night dancing the night away at New York’s Limelight, formerly a church, then a nightclub. So mb03 is developed around olibanum, where I made the incense note more modern with spicy, woody aspects. And musk, amber and styrax give it a delightful erotic counterpoint. Works, by the way, not only to dance the night away with it …
